Types of Thermodynamic processes
Isochoric or Constant volume process: There is no change in volume or Volume is constant i.e. V1 – V2 = 0.
Isothermal or constant temperature process: There is no change in temperature during the process. The process takes place at constant temperature i.e. T1 – T2 = 0.
Isobaric or Constant pressure process: The process takes place at constant pressure i.e. P1 – P2 = 0.
Isentropic or Reversible adiabatic process: No heat transfer takes place between the surroundings and the system i.e.
ΔQ = 0.
